This could just be the saviour for Adobe’s Flash technology!

At the recent Max 2010 conference, Adobe announced that they’re working on conversion tools to allow you to export Flash FLA files as HTML 5 code!

Code Name Wallaby

There are some caveats in which some element such as filters, blending and animated masks can’t be converted, however the end results seem pretty impressive.

In the video below, you can see how they convert a flash animation with an external tool code named Wallaby.

Dreamweaver and Flash Pro

What’s also impressive is when an individual element is dragged from Flash Pro into Dreamweaver which automatically inserts the necessary elements and HTML 5 code!

This means that Adobe can continue to promote Flash as a development platform, but support both Flash and HTML 5 as the end result.   This will give them a much broader target platform as they demonstrated using an iPad and iPhone during the presentation.
