Netflix Canada is increasing their subscription fees again.
They last increased pricing in August 2017 by $1 – $2 per month.
The new prices are:
- Basic Plan (one non-HD stream): $8.99 > $9.99
- Standard Plan (two screens in HD): $10.99 > $13.99
- Premium Plan (four screens in ultra HD 4K): $13.99 > $16.99
This is still great value for money when compared to a cable subscription, so I don’t see many people discontinuing their subscription.
The price increases apply to new subscribers, and existing subscribers will be notified by email of the changes soon.
Later this year we should start seeing competition from the likes of Disney and Apple, so it’ll be interesting to see how this affects future pricing.
