Have you recently received an email from Google warning you that your Google+ account is soon going to be deactivated?

Chances are, you’ve never used Google+ before, and that’s exactly why they’re shutting it down.   Google+ was a Social Network that Google developed to compete with the likes of Facebook and Twitter.   Some people loved it, but it just didn’t get enough traction or users to justify keeping it running, so in December 2018, Google announced that they were going to shut down the service.   They’ve now set a date of April 2ndfor the shut down.

If you’ve never used Google+, you have nothing to worry about, as the shut down won’t affect you.

If you did use Google+, then you should follow the instructions in the email to see what steps you can take to archive anything you posted.
