Route Internet Traffic Via Local Connection Instead of VPN

If you use the built in Windows VPN client to connect to your workplace, you’ll find that all internet traffic goes via this connection.

This can make web browsing slower as the request has to go via your office instead of direct to the website.

However there’s an easy way to change this:

1) Bring up the properties for the VPN Connection:

2) Click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and then select Properties:

3) Click on the Advanced button, then un-tick “Use default gateway on remote network”
